SKILL ENHANCEMENT FOR DIFFERENTLY ABLED In this sector we are focusing mainly on two objectives one is to provide a platform to learn and understand the importance of practicing wellness and the second is enhancing their vocational skills. They need to get proper training on improving the wellness aspect of their life. How to improve and balance physical wellness, social wellness, occupational wellness, financial wellness, environmental wellness, spiritual wellness, intellectual wellness, and emotional wellness. In connection with our Samagra wellness education project, we develop mentors who are capable of training differently-abled. We provide this training through their educational organizations. In the rural-urban sectors, those who are not exposed to schools, we club this program with community upliftment mission activities under the health & wellness domain. Occupational health and safety is a challenge faced by differently-abled. There are many challenges for a differently-abled person to enter into the labor market. The challenges can range from lack of basic education and skill training, financial security and low level of family encouragement, societal pressures, employer and co-worker perceptions, and also the lack of exposure to the labor market. We provide various occupation-based skill training which later helps them in making their Organizational adaptation simpler and smoother. The success of any program related to this sensitive population is based not only on the provision of skills and knowledge but also on outreach and sensitization to change the deep-rooted views that are so inherent in the minds of our society. Along with that, we collaborate and partner with Govt. , private, corporates in various skill enhancement initiatives for differently-abled. We are committed to supporting and guiding youth (PwD) on how to prepare themselves with disabilities and to become active members of society and generate income through micro- small medium enterprise development by providing training on various vocational skills & entrepreneurship education. More opportunities must be provided to enable differently-abled in rural-urban areas to generate income and become self-reliant. It is not easy for a disabled person to be self-employed while some can set up a successful micro-enterprise on their own. The majority of people need basic training on starting a new enterprise and step-by-step advice on its overall management. We carefully consider all these factors and support them in advance for choosing the type of micro-enterprise that can be opted for. Various vocational skill training includes apparel designing, Beauty & wellness, handicrafts, automotive, telecom, food processing, hospitality, fish farming, agriculture & allied, etc can be various skill sectors. After successful training, we ensure their placement by collaborating with industrial heads and various organizations. Several factors have to be considered before starting a micro-enterprise. The various aspects of a business must be taken into account. Management and administrative skills must be developed. These micro-enterprises training in various sectors such as agriculture, aquaculture, sericulture, animal husbandry, fishing, tool repair, apparel designing, etc. can be trained based on aptitude and interest. The main objective is to enable the differently-abled to become economically self-reliant through income generation as small-scale entrepreneurs. We make sure that all trainees participate in the training by choice and. It is our responsibility to convince trainees that they can do everything they set their minds to. Our capacity-building programs for enterprise development for differently-abled will ensure they attain the following objectives through our training 1.To improve their daily living skills 2. To impart technical capabilities and develop capacities 3. To develop entrepreneurial skills 4. To establish a network and strategic partners After training the trainees will have a clear picture of their strengths and weaknesses, how can they compensate for their weaknesses, understanding their current personal needs, and how to develop a supportive team and working with them? Our training will provide them with tools necessary for improving their livelihood that is the impact that we foresee after every skill enhancement based capacity building programs. To promote their skills, products, and enterprise we organize district state-level exhibitions to provide them a platform to interact and with many other differently-abled people and they will get opportunities for collaboration with various agencies and organizations. This will also facilitate their acceptance as full members of the community by enhancing their strength and make them realize they are active members of Society.
